πΎ Rules
Community Guidelines
Last updated: March 2025 Β· These rules apply to all users in all chat rooms
π± MadCatChat is built for open, genuine conversations. These guidelines exist to keep it that way β a place where anyone can chat freely without being harassed or harmed. Most people are here to have fun. These rules exist for the minority who aren't.
β What's Not Allowed
Violations may result in removal, bans, or legal reporting
π«
Harassment & Bullying
Targeting, threatening, or repeatedly sending unwanted messages to any user. This includes personal attacks, insults, and coordinated pile-ons.
β οΈ
Hate Speech
Content that attacks or dehumanizes people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
π
NSFW in Public Rooms
Explicit sexual content is not permitted in public free chat rooms. Premium room owners may set their own rules, but content involving minors is prohibited everywhere, always.
πΆ
Child Safety Violations
Any sexual content involving minors (CSAM) is illegal and will be reported immediately to NCMEC and law enforcement. Zero tolerance. No exceptions.
π

π

π
Threats of Violence
Threatening physical harm to any individual or group, whether on or off the platform.
π¦

β
What Makes a Good Chat
π€
Be Respectful
Treat others the way you'd want to be treated. Disagreements are fine β personal attacks are not.
π§
Stay On Topic
Each room has a topic. Try to keep conversations relevant so people can find the discussions they're looking for.
π
Welcome Newcomers
Everyone's new somewhere. A friendly welcome goes a long way and keeps the community growing.
π¨
Report Bad Actors
If you see something that violates these guidelines, let a room owner or admin know. Don't engage β just report.
βοΈ Enforcement
Room owners may kick or ban users from their rooms at their discretion. Site admins may take action across the entire platform. Here's how enforcement generally works:
| Violation | Typical Action | Severity |
| Mild rule-breaking (spam, off-topic flooding) | Warning or temporary kick | Low |
| Harassment, doxxing, hate speech | Room ban or site-wide ban | MediumβHigh |
| Threats of violence | Immediate permanent ban | High |
| CSAM (child sexual abuse material) | Immediate ban + report to NCMEC & law enforcement | Zero Tolerance |
| Malware / phishing links | Immediate permanent ban | High |
β οΈ Moderators and admins are not required to warn you before taking action. Serious violations result in immediate permanent bans. We reserve the right to report illegal activity to law enforcement without prior notice.
π For Room Owners
Premium room owners are responsible for moderating their own rooms. By creating a room you agree to:
β Actively moderate your room and respond to reports
β Not use your room to facilitate illegal activity
β Enforce these Community Guidelines at minimum (you may add stricter rules)
β Report any CSAM or credible threats of violence to Contact Form immediately
Failure to moderate your room appropriately may result in its removal from the platform.
π© Reporting
To report a violation, contact your room's owner or moderator. For serious violations (CSAM, credible threats, illegal activity), contact us directly:
Email: Contact Form
Please include the room name, username involved, and a description of the violation. We take all reports seriously.
